A meditation on films classic and contemporary by writer & filmmaker Steven Sterrett. Co-founded by Stephen Zech, begun at UCLA in 2009, The 1927 Company and its film production affiliate, Lone Pine Pictures, are dedicated to the fine art of performance, on stage and on screen, and to the vast heritage that defines the history of visual expression. It should be noted that all motion picture criticism here is out of love for the medium, this sensory force that has defined generations, moved audiences, and changed the world.
